Rhion Owen, 15, was the youngest competitor at a trial where many of the watching students were older than him Teenage handler Rhion Owen kept good company as he battled to a respectable fifth place in this year's Glynllifon sheepdog trials . At the age of 15 he was the youngest competitor in a field of 83 who converged on Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor's Glynllifon Farm near Caernarfon .

The latest bookmakers' analysis of the election suggests Labour could be ousted from a string of battleground seats and wiped out in North Wales in a historic repainting of the political map on June 8. William Hill predicts the Conservatives will win 18 of Wales' 40 seats in what would be its best result since 1852 . The bookmaker expect the Lib Dems to retake the fiercely contested seat of Cardiff Central, which Labour won in 2015.

Professor M.Wynn Thomas will give the talk at Oriel Ynys Mn, at an annual event organised by the Kyffin Williams Trust, on Friday, May 19. This year, Professor M. Wynn Thomas will be speaking about R.S.Thomas's response to paintings, at the event which is also part of the "Museums at Night" campaign.

A 31-year-old Anglesey man has denied causing the death by dangerous or careless driving of nurse Susan Owen. Mrs Owen, 50, who lived near Llangefni, had been driving a BMW car on September 23 on the B4547 Nant y Garth Pass at Felinheli, near Bangor, when the tragedy occurred.

The Holland Hotel in Llanfachraeth on Anglesey accidentally switched its card machine to training mode last weekend - meaning all drinks bought on card were not paid for.
